I took part in some testing for this product last year. Just be grateful they didn’t go with the original name, although the original print marketing was far less carb-centric.(I’d say more, but the $5 I was paid to spew about how much I hated the name/advertising came with a “tell anyone and we’ll make you drink it” threat…)
I tried it last Sunday evening and it isn’t bad. It tastes more like Coke than Coke does, if that makes any sense, which I’m sure it doesn’t.Here’s how I try to describe it (being a coke fan.) Coke has a burn to it that pepsi doesn’t. Pepsi has a rounder taste to it while Coke is a bit spikey, almost acidic. C2 (I think they should go for some Dynamite slogan, but what do I know) just has a higher spike to it. *LOADS* better than Diet Coke (which, going really weird, makes me think Alkaline.)If we get C2 at work, I’d drink it over regular coke for a few weeks to see how well it settles.
I bought an 8 pack to bring to work. Last week I had the worst case of diharreha that I’ve had since I was 10, and the only thing I can attribute it to is drinking 3 of those C2’s. If that’s not enough, I convinced myself that it wasn’t the drink it was something I ate last week. Came in today (monday) i’ve had 2 already (i’m a soda-holic) and my stomach is feeling all rumbly again. The coke? It has to be….
